Solving the 4x4 Centers

Ok, battle plan...
What we're trying to do, is solve all the centers + edge pieces...

The first thing we do is solve all the centers...

Solved centers of a 4x4.

Of course, don't forget that the centers can be in any position, so solve with CAUTION.
Anyways, the first thing you do is solving a center, any center (I prefer white, but it doesn't matter).
This shouldn't be a problem, since you've probably have quite a bit of experience with the cube already...

Next, solve the center opposite the center you just solved.
Again, this shouldn't be a problem, pretty simple (just try not to scramble your previous one).

Then, with the 2 centers solved, solve any of the 4 you have left.
This is also quite easy, but try not to scramble the 2 centers you've solved...

Now, we would want to solve a center adjacent to the one you just solved.
This is getting tricky, cause there's 3 centers that you don't want to scramble...
Luckily, there's always algorithms to help you...

Double-block Swap.

This is what I call the double-block swap.
What it does is that it swaps 2 blocks and will solve a center...
For example:

Double-blcok Swap.

I have 2 reds 2x1 blocks, one on top the other on the bottom.
I can do something like: l', U2, l to solve the red center.
You might not get it 100% of the time, but this really speeds it up.

Sune, and the Centers.

Yup, Sune is really useful.
Sometimes, you might get something like this...

Sune Swap.

When you have something like an L-shaped and the missing piece is on top, just perform the sune to put it into place.
Instead of Rs, turn 2 R layers = r.
This is what the algorithm should look like: r, U, r', U, r, U2, r'

What the Sune does is that it switches the center top right piece on the F face with the center bottom right piece on top.

Like what I always say: Practice! Practice and Practice!
So practice solving the centers over and over again and please, know where each center goes - it'll really help.
How I solve the centers? Well, I follow what Stefan Pochmann tutorial says here.

I can solve the centers in about 20-30 seconds.
