The thing making global warming as bad as it is right now, are the things it does to the planet. It is very crucifying for the planet, and if we keep going at this rate, will eventually turn Earth into a planet where life is unsustainable because of the sheer amounts of pollution in the atmosphere and water. There are many other consequences as well, some of which are not so long term. Global warming has a very wide impact range. It affects everything, by a little bit. One of its biggest victims along with humans are animals. Global warming damages their ecosystem, ruining their environment and disrupting the food chain. This means that with a destroyed food web, the humans will have nothing to eat and a lot will just starve to death, because there will be no meat and many human bodies will fail to adapt to the change. This is one of the major effects of global warming.
One of the most important are the polar bears. This a very significant animal who is currently facing danger because of global warming. The arctic is slowly melting and polar bears are finding it almost impossible to live in the arctic.

Another very big animal species affected by global warming are the fish. Global warming warms up the ocean, and since the fish are used to living in the same temperature, this is very dangerous for them. The water gets warmer, and many fish are unable to survive in that temperature, and are slowly dying. This is because of climate change, but also because of pollution.
There are also many other animals, which are constantly affected by global warming. This affects the animals but most importantly, it affects our food web. This means that some animals overpopulate, and some become an endangered species. This happens because our food web is very complicated and fragile. When even one animal is affected by global warming, it has a drastic chain effect on the food web.

For example, if the arctic starts melting, the polar bears have nowhere to live, and their population is drastically crippled. Since the polar bears feed primarily on fish, this leads to there being more fish, and then the fish eat more plankton, and the whales for example, can’t find any plankton to eat. Even though it may not always seem like it, every animal is crucial to the food web, and global warming kills many animals. This is why so many people are worrying about this, because without a functional food web humans will eventually have no food left because most of the animals will be dead. This means that with a destroyed food web, the humans will have nothing to eat and a lot will just starve to death, because there will be no meat and many human bodies will fail to adapt to the change.
Global Warming frequently affects animals in many different ways. It pollutes their waters, ruins their air and plastic is also a big part of it too. Plastic is disposed into the ocean in giant amounts, which is very bad for the ecosystem. It is also lying around on the ground, and animals often mistake it for food and accidentally eat it, which then messes up their stomach and they die.

This is one of the major effects of global warming, and many people have already started campaigns and movements against it. They involve saving animals, like manually hauling penguins from the melting arctic and exporting them to a colder climate where they would be a lot safer. These people help a lot, but the globe is still melting, and we need more people to contribute to the cause, otherwise despite all the efforts, the earth will become a polluted mess, impossible for humans to live on.
