Square One Games was founded in September of 2007 by Scouter. He wanted it to become a showcase for his own and his friend's work. By working off the knowledge he acquired from creating the Paragon Games Website, he started to create an improved version of the website which is what you see here today. Before this, Scouter had done some work with Flash, ActionScript, C++, and Blender.

Chaser - Chaser took up 3D modeling and animation in Blender about three years ago. Since then, he has progressed to create some very realistic looking models and renders as well as some great games. About a year ago, Chaser started to learn Python to create online games in Blender. Within that year, he had mastered many aspects of the language and was thus able to produce some very high quality work. Chaser now wants to learn C++ so that he can write his own GameEngine for Blender. Finally, Chaser has been using Photoshop casually for about five years to do everything from editing photos to adding elements to his many Blender renders.

Loonietoon - Loonietoon got into 3D modeling about a year after Chaser. He quickly caught on to Blender and soon was able to produce some great looking renders. Favouring a cartoon-like style, Loonietoon was soon able to produce characters that were quite similar to those used in Pixar films. Loonietoon also uses Photoshop to create graphics for the website he is building.

Gomer - Gomer got into 3D modeling after Chase, but before Loonietoon. He has explored the modeling, texturing and programming ends of Blender. He has assisted Chaser with many of his projects and has also branched out and made some of his own. Gomer also explored Flash and ActionScript for a while and made a 2D First Person Shooter titled "Libra ".

Scouter - Scouter has explored many aspects of programming and visual design, but never really specialized in one area or another. He started using Flash and ActionScript four years ago and since then, has created some 2D shooters. His most recent, a top view shooter titled "Desolation Point" will have a demo available for download shortly from this site. Scouter moved on to learn Blender, but did not get very far into it. After starting one model of a harbour, Scouter moved on to programming; leaving the harbour in a semi-finished state. Scouter is currently learning C++, XHTML and CSS. He wants to eventually branch out and learn Java, JavaScript and Python so that he could enhance his websites, create more advanced games and also help out Team Paragon with the programming for many of their upcoming releases.

Acknowledgements

All content on this site (except for the Live Search) was created by various members of Team Paragon. I, as Scouter, would, however, like to thank a few people for helping the creation of this site along. First of all, I'd like to thank the creators and contributors to CSS Zen Garden for their designs, which, when needing inspiration, I turned to for ideas. I would also like to thank the Tom Negrino and Dori Smith, the authors of the book Visual QuickstartGuide: JavaScript & AJAX - Sixth Edition for publishing the code which got the LiveSearch on this site working. The code, however, has been modified slightly to suit the needs of this site and is not an exact replica of the code found in the book.
