About the Band

The Name

The first thing you probably notice about the band is the name. The name was first discovered during a regular lunch break, when one of the band members discovered that his muffin had been squashed. He immediately thought of how “squashed muffin” sounded like the name of a band. The name was forgotten for some time. It was brought back into the light when the duo decided to form a band.

Band Members

Raf

Raf, AKA "The Guitar Guy"
Guitar, vocals

Raf has had years of experience playing the piano, as well as the drums. He has taken voice lessons, and has taken up the guitar and the bass. He also has acquired an impressive amount of knowledge regarding music theory and history.

Lukas

Lukas, AKA "Lukas"
Drums, percussion

Lukas started piano at around five years of age. He continued until the age of 11 (equivalent of grade 7 piano), when he quit lessons to take up the drums. He has recently taken interest in the cajon.

Music

Squashed Muffin is a very new group, and is still in its early stages of creation. Because of this they have yet to develop a set list of songs to perform. However, they are planning on playing a variety of genres and styles, including funk, rock, but mostly acoustic renditions of popular songs.
