Supplies
  • Blue nail polish
  • White nail polish
  • Red Nail Polish
  • Base/top coat
  • striper brush
clear coat Step 1 Apply a quality base coat (OPI, China Glaze, Revlon, Essie...) to all of your nails. I'm using a Revlon base coat. This is essential to protecting your nails from staining. Make sure your nails are fully dry before proceeding.

blue coat Step 2 Paint all of your nails a blue of your choice. The flag is originally dark blue, but I'm choosing a very pretty light blue, 4860-04 Blue Me Away! by Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear.

blue coat Step 3 Now we are going to create the double cross white shape with a white polish and a striper polish. If you don't have one, you could use a toothpick but it will turn out messy, and a white striper is a great investment, you will use it a lot... So, I'm using a white striper, NA901 White by L.A. Colors Art Deco. Do NOT go on to the next step unless the crosses are entirely dry as it will bleed.

blue coat Step 4 Use a red polish and a striper or a toothpick to paint the red double cross shape on top of the white. Leave some white around the red. I'm using 105 Salsa by China Glaze and borrowing a striper brush from a pink striper. Now, apply a top coat onto your nails. Rock your sweet nails, and when people ask whether you did those yourself, lift your head up high and say YES!
